Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections In Haliburton County Result In 14 Charges

HALIBURTON-Haliburton Highlands OPP officers conducted two days of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Enforcement on the roads in Haliburton County.

On January 3rd and January 6th, 2025, Haliburton OPP conducted a two-day traffic initiative. Commercial motor vehicle inspections were carried out to ensure identified CMVs met the required safety standards to operate on our roadways. Drivers were checked for compliance with proper licencing, registration, documentation, pre-check inspections and hours of work.

Results of the two-day Haliburton County Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Initiative:

Drive While Under Suspension – 1

Speeding – 10

Fail to Surrender CVOR Certificate – 3

Total CMV Charges Laid – 14

“It is our mission to promote the safety of all road users throughout Haliburton County Detachment area. We would like to thank the majority of safe drivers who were found to be in compliance. We depend on our professional drivers to help contribute to safe roads.” said the OPP.
