KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered into two separate impaired driving investigations on December 11, 2024.
At approximately 8:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act (H.T.A.) offence on St. Joseph Road, Lindsay. Police say through investigation the driver was believed to be impaired, however, refused to complete the testing.
31-year-old Bradley Rochon of Lindsay, was charged with Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol concentration (80 plus) and rive without proper headlights – motor vehicle (H.T.A.).
On December 11, 2024, at approximately 11:04 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Glenarm Road in Eldon Township for a Highway Traffic Act (H.T.A.) offence. Through investigation the driver was charged with H.T.A offences related to impaired driving.
Oscar Ceci, 18-year-old of Fenelon Falls, was charged with
- Speeding 1-49km/h over posted limit (84km/h in posted 50km/h zone)
- Young Driver – Blood Alcohol Concentration (B.A.C.) above zero
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Bradley ROCHON is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. Bradley’s vehicle was impounded for 7 days and Ceci had a sober and more responsible driver assist in picking up their vehicle according to police.
“If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture.” said police.
