Monday Waste And Recycling Collection Could Be Delayed In Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Residents in Kawartha Lakes with Monday as their waste and recycling collection day are advised that there could be delays with regular waste and recycling pickup today (Monday December 2) due to the accumulation of snow over the weekend according to Miller Waste.

The City says Miller Waste is doing their best to pick-up all waste and recycling today but if your waste and recycling hasn’t been picked up by 7pm, please bring it back in as it will be picked up over the following weeks as outlined below:

  • Waste/Garbage: Monday, December 9 will be a double waste/garbage collection week for those that didn’t get their waste/garbage collected on December 2.
  • Recycling: since next week is a paper/fibre recycling week, if your container recycling wasn’t picked up on December 2, please hold it until your next container recycling day on Monday, December 16.

If your container recycling is overflowing, it is free to recycle at our landfills. For winter hours of operation or to learn more visit the Landfill page on our website.
