Winter Weather Travel Advisory Issued For Lindsay And Southern Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory for Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes.

Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of 5 to 10 cm is possible with poor visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow beginning overnight and ending Saturday morning.

Lake effect snow off of Georgian Bay will move south into the region tonight before moving back north Saturday morning. Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. For road conditions and other traveller information from the Ministry of Transportation, visit ontario.ca/511, twitter.com/511Ontario, or call 5-1-1.
