KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, Kawartha Lakes Fire and Kawartha EMS were called to the scene of a structure fire on Eldon Road on Saturday.
Fire officials told Kawartha 411 News that a tractor shed caught fire. Fire crews managed to contain the fire to one wall and save the building. Residents were asked to avoid Eldon Road from The Glen Road to Linden Valley Road due to emergency vehicles.
There is no estimate on damages.
Crews were kept busy over the weekend also responding to a residential fire at Mitchell Drive and Yankee Line in the Omemee area on Friday. No one was home at the time but unfortunately, a family pet perished in the blaze.
There’s no word on a cause.
