Two Local Residents Win Big In The Lottery

PETERBOROUGH-Two local residents are a lot richer today after winning the lottery.

Leslie Mann of Peterborough is $75,000 richer after winning a top prize with INSTANT CASHBOOM.

Leslie, a truck driver, says he has has been playing the lottery with OLG for more than 20 years. He is a weekly player who enjoys a variety of games, including LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49 and INSTANT tickets. The father of three is now celebrating his first big win!

“I played my ticket while I was still at the store and instantly knew that I had won,” Leslie recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “I couldn’t believe it. I was so surprised and overwhelmed with emotion. Even today, it’s hard to believe!”

“I shared the good news with my family, and everyone-including me-was thrilled,” Leslie said with a big smile.

With his windfall, Leslie looks forward to helping his family and planning a trip to England, or Australia.

The winning ticket was purchased at Brookdale Kwik Mart on Chemong Road in Peterborough.

Susan Maybury of Ennismore won a $100,000 top prize with INSTANT BLAZING BOUNTY.

Susan, a mother and grandmother, has been playing the lottery with OLG for more than 30 years. She enjoys playing LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49, as well as a variety of INSTANT games. The retiree is thrilled to be celebrating her first big win!

“I was playing my ticket in the store when I realized one of my numbers matched a lucky number. I couldn’t believe it,” Susan recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall. “I shouted out, ‘Did I really win?’ My body froze and my hands started to shake. I told my husband and my kids, and oh boy, were they happy to hear of my win!”

“Words can’t describe the feeling of winning. I couldn’t be any happier,” she concluded.

Susan plans to save her winnings for the time being.

The winning ticket was purchased at Causeway Variety on Robinson Road in Ennismore.
