What is an Archaeological Management Plan (AMP)?
An AMP is a vital tool being developed to ensure the preservation of our archaeological sites and resources, as required by provincial regulations. This project is currently gathering data and reaching out to Indigenous communities and archaeological stakeholders to understand the span of our archaeological resources in Kawartha Lakes and develop strategies for their long-term protection and management

The Heritage Planning Officer will be at various library branches to share information, answer your questions, and discuss the importance of preserving our archaeological heritage. Here’s where you can find them:
