Members provide public services such as roads, maintenance, snow removal, parks, water and waste treatment, landfill, accounting, administrative, library, customer service, by-law enforcement, social services and others.

The staff have been without an agreement since December 31, 2023 and the pay increase of 4% will be retroactive to January 1, 2024, according to CUPE.

CUPE says there were other minimal changes to the language in the agreement but did not specify what those are.
