Two Traffic Complaints Result In Impaired Driving Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 35 over the weekend. Through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving offences.

40-year-old Kevin Holland from Dunsford was charged with operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

Another traffic complaint over the weekend on County Road 121 just north of Fenelon Falls resulted in 40-year-old Benjamin Woodward from Fenelon Falls being arrested and charged with operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

In addition to the charges the drivers received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Drivers are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving.
