Omemee Woman Charged With Impaired Driving In Peterborough

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 42-year-old Omemee woman is facing charges after an incident in Peterborough on Friday evening.

At approximately 7:40pm on July 26, 2024, a concerned citizen called about a vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Walnut Street and Monaghan Road and that the vehicle had gone up on the curb and blown a tire.

As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old Omemee woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension, a seven-day vehicle impoundment and was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court September 10, 2024.
