Man Wanted In Connection With Attempted Murder In Toronto Arrested After Incident In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 24-year-old Toronto man wanted in connection with a shooting in Toronto has been arrested after an incident in Lindsay.

On Monday July 22nd, 2024 at approximately 11 am the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to an apartment building located in Lindsay to a report of an unwanted male party.  Information received was that the resident from the apartment had been locked out of his own apartment by the male and he was refusing to leave.  

Police say the male jumped off the balcony and ran from officers bgut was located a few minutes later.  The male refused to identify himself to police and was subsequently arrested.

Officers seized 78.6 grams of cocaine – street value worth approximately $6,240 and $10,972 in Canadian Currency.

Through fingerprints police were able to positively identify the male, it was then determined that the male was wanted for Attempted Murder out of Toronto.

As a result of the investigation in Lindsay, Moulay Daniels a 24-year-old male from Toronto was charged with:

  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000

The accused has been held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 440 Kent St W in Lindsay.  

Toronto Police Service was notified of the arrest, and they will be dealing with their arrest warrant.
