Motorcycle Driver Airlifted To Toronto Hospital After Crash On County Road 8

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 71-year-old male operating the motorcycle was airlifted by ORNGE Air to Sunnybrook Hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing his motorcycle on Thursday, July 18.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP with assistance from Fire and EMS responded to a report of a serious single-vehicle collision with one motorcycle on County Road 8 near Cable Road just outside of Bobcaygeon.

County Road 8 between Bulmers Road and Martins Road were closed for several hours while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122
