KAWARTHA LAKES- Hwy 7 is reopened following the collision on Tuesday.
The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP is investigating the two-vehicle collision that took place yesterday, July 16th, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving two SUVs on Highway 7 near Round Tree Road. Unfortunately, the driver of one SUV , a 57-year-old male from Lindsay, was pronounced deceased in hospital. The other driver was treated for minor injuries.
Highway 7 and Round Tree Road remained closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
