Passenger Airlifted To Toronto Hospital After Motorcycle Crash On Eldon Road

KAWARTHA LAKES-Three people were injured in a crash on Eldon Road near Oakwood on Sunday.

At approximately 1:30 p.m, members from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP with assistance from Fire and EMS responded to a report of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a commercial motor vehicle on Eldon Road and Skyline Road near Oakwood.

As a result of the collision, 57-year-old male operating the motorcycle was transported to Ross Memorial hospital and the 53-year-old female passenger was transported to Ross Memorial and later airlifted by ORNGE Air to Kingston Hospital for life threatening injuries. The 64-year-old driver of the commercial motor vehicle was treated for minor injuries.

Eldon Road and Skyline Road were closed for several hours while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
