Bond, James Bond:The Music Of 007 Comes To Globus Theatre

KAWARTHA LAKES-Which James Bond song is your favourite? Do you love A View to a Kill, Skyfall, Live and Let Die, Goldfinger or Nobody Does It Better?

Globus Theatre is bringing the live concert, Bond, James Bond: The Music of 007, created and performed by Rebecca Perry to Kawartha Lakes from July 17-21.
Bond, James Bond: The Music of 007 highlights the music from these legendary films, features stories about the movies, and celebrates the iconic artists who have performed the opening theme song for James Bond movies since 1962. This concert celebrates all 25 of the James Bond theme songs and the people who sang them, from Dame Shirley Bassey to Tom Jones, Carly Simon to Nancy Sinatra, Sir Paul McCartney to Adele to Madonna and many more – the list of Bond theme song artists is a catalogue of titans of the music industry.
Whatever someone’s musical taste, they will find plenty of songs to enjoy with different genres, whether it’s the contemporary pop of Madonna’s ‘Die Another Day,’ the soulful crooner Matt Monro’s ‘From Russia with Love,’ or the rock-jazz fusion of Jack White and Alicia Keys’ ‘Another Way to Die.
In addition to the music, Perry presents entertaining facts about the songs, the singers, the actors who played Bond, the unforgettable Bond girls, and the legacy of the Bond franchise itself. The show began touring with Smile Theatre in 2022 and had a mainstage performance at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts in 2023.
“We are so excited to bring Bond, James Bond: The Songs of 007 to Globus Theatre,” says Perry. “This show is chock-full of musical history – after all, with 60 years of theme songs, there is plenty here to suit any musical taste.”
Rebecca Perry is an award-winning actor, singer and writer with a vast array of credits under her belt. She is best-known for her solo shows Confessions of a Redheaded Coffeeshop Girl and From Judy to Bette: The Stars of Old Hollywood which have toured from coast to coast in Canada, all over England and Scotland, and into Europe.
Perry will be joined onstage by David Kingsmill and Quinton Naughton playing the keys. David Kingsmill is a Toronto-based pianist, singer, composer and writer, originally from London, England. He has toured with Rebecca Perry Productions since 2015 as stage manager, musical director, lighting designer, and/or accompanist for all of her shows. Touring with Rebecca has seen him work in theatres across Canada and all over England and Scotland.
Quinton Naughton is a Toronto based musical director, composer, arranger and educator.
