Two Land Rovers Stolen From Toronto Area Recovered In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two Land Rovers stolen from the Toronto area were located in the garage of a home in Lindsay.

On Tuesday July 2^nd 2024, Kawartha Lakes Police Service received information from the Toronto Police Service with regards to a stolen 2023 Land Rover possibly being located in Kawartha Lakes.  Police say the GPS coordinates coming from the vehicle indicated it was in Lindsay. The Kawartha Lakes Criminal Investigations Branch attended a vacant residence in Lindsay and observed a 2023 Land Rover parked in the driveway of the residence.  Subsequently, another 2023 Land Rover was observed in the garage at the same residence.  

The Kawartha Lakes Criminal Investigations Branch then obtained a search warrant for the residence. Further investigation revealed that both 2023 Land Rovers had been reported stolen in the Toronto area.  

Both vehicles were recovered and have been held for Forensic examination, and they will be returned to their rightful owners once the investigation is complete.  At this time no criminal charges have been laid.
