Four People Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Four people are facing charges after a traffic stop in Lindsay early this morning.

Police say an officer conducted a traffic stop at approximately 1:30a.m on Lindsay Street in the town of Lindsay. The result of the traffic stop, lead the officer into an investigation into drug trafficking.

As a result of that investigation, Officers arrested and charged the following individuals.

38-year-old, Jeffrey Evans, of Lindsay with the following.

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- methamphetamine CDSA 5(2)

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- opioid (other than heroin) CDSA 5(2)

35-year-old, Carolanne Frost, of Peterborough with the following.

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- methamphetamine CDSA 5(2)

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- opioid (other than heroin) CDSA 5(2)

·      Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit (HTA 7(1)(a)

·      Fail to have insurance card (CAIA 3(1)

35-year-old, Katelyn Katcher, of Lindsay with the following.

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- methamphetamine CDSA 5(2)

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- opioid (other than heroin) CDSA 5(2)

·      Fail to properly wear seat belt.( HTA 106 (3)(b)

41-year-old, Christopher Thompson, of Cameron with the following.

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- methamphetamine CDSA 5(2)

·      Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- opioid (other than heroin) CDSA 5(2)

They were released from custody with conditions and will appear in Court in Lindsay on a later date.
