OPP Issue Warning After “Unprovoked” Dog Attack In Bancroft

KAWARTHAS-The Bancroft OPP Is warning the public about an aggressive canine-type animal on Bradshaw Road in The Town of Bancroft.

The OPP is investigating a report of an unprovoked attack on a child on the afternoon of March 26, 2024. The child was airlifted with non-life-threating injuries.

The canine-type animal is described as black and grey, similar looking to a German Shepard or Huskey.

Police are asking members of the public to use caution in the area and report any sightings to police. If it is an emergency, please call using 9-1-1.
