KAWARTHA LAKES-It was a big night for Carson Cameron and his family.
Cameron, who hails from Bobcagyeon spent his first year in the OHL after being drafted 13th in the first round by the Peterborough Petes. Cameron is a 16-year-old defenceman wearing #15. He had 4 goals and 22 assists during the season.

For those efforts, he won the Ushers Trophy for best Petes defenceman at the year-end banquet on Tuesday. He also took home the Black’s Family Rookie of the Year trophy.
After winning the OHL championship last year The Petes missed the playoffs this year.
