KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered into an impaired driving investigation on March 25, 2024 after receiving a call for service from a concerned citizen.
On March 25, 2024 at approximately 1:51 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Front Street in Bobcaygeon.
Police say 25-year-old Jesse Lyons 25 years old of Bobcaygeon was charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
Police say if you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture.
