KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered into an impaired driving investigation on March 23, 2024.
At approximately 11:05 am, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on John Street in Kirkfield. An impaired driving investigation commenced.
20-year-old Steven Olhiser of Kirkfield was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
- Drive Motor Vehicle no licence
- Use Plate not Authorized for Vehicle
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
Police say if you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture
