Two Peterborough Teens Facing Criminal Charges In Separate Incidents This Week

PETERBOROUGH-Two Peterborough teens are facing criminal charges.

A 16-year-old Peterborough resident is facing a charge after an incident Wednesday.

On March 20, 2024, officers were reportedly made aware of threatening messages sent from one teen to another through Instagram.

As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 11, 2024.

A 15-year-old Peterborough male is facing a charge after an incident Monday afternoon.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, officers were made aware of an incident on Monday, March 18th at approximately 3:00pm.  Police say several teens were at a bus stop on Armour Road when there was an interaction and one of them allegedly pulled out a knife and held it up to the other teen, before putting it away and leaving the area.

As a result of an investigation, a 15-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 8, 2024.

No names were released. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Code the name of a young person cannot be released.
