KAWARTHA LAKES-The city says the demolition process will begin this week on the following buildings:
1027 Portage Road, Kirkfield
This building was last used as VON Nurse Practitioner office. It was previously used as the Kirkfield Library and Community Hall. The building has been vacant since January 2023 according to the City.
11 Richmond Street East, Kirkfield
This building was the Victoria Road Hall and the City says it has been vacant for many years.
Both properties have been deemed surplus, and Council approved the demolitions in the 2020 Capital Budget.
