KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people are facing charges after a rock was reportedly thrown through the front window of a business in Lindsay.
On Tuesday February 20th, 2024 at approximately 3:30am the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a break and enter at a business on Kent Street in Lindsay. A large rock was thrown through the front window of the business and entry was gained according to police.
A witness was able to provide police with a description of the individuals involved in the crime. As a result, within seven minutes police had located and arrested both suspects.
As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old male from Lindsay has been charged with the following:
- Break, enter a place commit indictable offence
- Theft under $5,000
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
- Fail to comply with probation order X2
Furthermore, a 33-year-old female from Lindsay has been charged with:
- Break, enter a place commit indictable offence
- Theft under $5,000
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 X3
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose X2
Both accused were held in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on Tuesday, February 20th 2024.
