KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP didn’t have far to go to investigate possible impaired driving during an interaction at the OPP Detachment on February 17, 2024.
On February 17, 2024 at approximately 5:44 pm, officers commenced an impaired driving investigation with a driver after they reportedly arrived at the detachment to charge the electric battery on their motor vehicle.
39-year-old Jordan Aheen of Peterborough was charged with Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand and Having Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Liquor.
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
