KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service along with Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue and Kawartha Lakes Paramedics attended a Motor Vehicle Collision on Kent Street in Lindsay on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at approximately 12:57pm.
Information at the time of the call was that a vehicle had reportedly struck a parked vehicle in a parking lot and then caused a collision on Kent Street. Â
Upon arrival, police were advised that the vehicle responsible for the collisions had fled the scene. Police say witnesses provided officers with the suspect vehicle’s description and licence plate.Â
As a result of the collisions, one male had to be transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Â Â
Shortly after uniform officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle. He was subsequently charged with Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs, Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Dangerous Operation and two counts of Failure to stop After Accident.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on March 21st, 2024.
