KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision where one individual was charged with impaired driving. No one was injured in this collision.
On February 4 at 6:10 p.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle that had collided with a bus on Frank Hill Road. Through investigation, the driver of the motor vehicle was charged with impaired driving offences.
John Virtanen, 39-year-old of Peterborough, was charged with operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
