Charges Laid In Three Intimate Partner Investigations Over The Weekend

KAWARTHA LAKES-Northumberland OPP arrested two individuals in unrelated intimate partner investigations over the weekend.

Officers responded to a complaint regarding mischief which occurred on February 2, 2024 in the Municipality of Brighton.

A 33-year-old male from Peterborough has been charged with:

  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Disobeying Order of Court

On February 4 at approximately 12:50 a.m., OPP was dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the Township of Cramahe. Minor injuries were reported.

A 33-year-old female from the Township of Cramahe has been charged with:

  • Assault – spousal

One person was arrested following a reported domestic dispute in Douro-Dummer Township.

On February 3, 2024, just prior to 6:00a.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP received a call reporting a loud argument that had been going on for a long period of time outside where the complainant was staying.

Officers responded and spoke with the involved parties and while trying to determine a resolution, one of the involved parties approached the other and shoved them.

As a result, a 55-year-old female of Cobourg, ON., was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough at a later date.
