KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch says it was conducting surveillance in Lindsay for a man wanted on three separate arrest warrants all concerning firearm offences. Officers say they observed the suspect who was subsequently arrested. According to police he was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and a large quantity of drugs including Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl. A second man was also arrested and found to be in possession of a large quantity of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl according to police.
As a result of the investigation a 35-year-old Lindsay man, Travis Sprague was charged with several Firearms and drug-related offences. The second male is a 19-year-old Port Perry resident, Rhys Cartier he also faces several Firearms and drug-related charges.
The accused are both scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 440 Kent St W in Lindsay on January 17th, 2024.
