Herod Financial Services Donates $25,000 to CMHA HKPR’s Journeying Together Program

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) announced that Herod Financial Services has donated $25,000 to the Journeying Together program, supporting caregiver mental health.

“It is so important for individuals experiencing a mental health concern to have a strong support system. Journeying Together helps sustain the people who love and support their family member, friend or loved one who is having challenges. We are so blessed to be able to help the CMHA deliver this important service,” says Kevan Herod, CEO of Herod Financial Services.

CMHA HKPR’s Journeying Together program provides education and support to caregivers and family members of individuals with a mental health concern. The program supports approximately 250 individuals per year, helping them learn how to better support their loved ones and themselves.

Herod Financial Services has championed the Journeying Together program since 2014. Over the past nine years, they have brought in over $150,000, providing support to caregivers in our region. CMHA HKPR would like to sincerely thank Kevan and Roberta Herod, founders of Herod Financial Services, for their generous donation.

“We understand that mental health concerns are at an all-time high in our community, and we recognize the heavy burden this has placed on caregivers of loved ones with mental health issues. Programs like our ‘Journeying Together’ program are more necessary now than ever,” says Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with CMHA HKPR. “The Herods continue to lead the way in supporting the mental health of caregivers in our community. Their on-going generous support has been instrumental in the success of the program and has ensured that families are able to receive essential mental health care,” says Veitch.
