Two Bobcaygeon Residents Win $100,000 On Instant Crossword Tripler

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kathleen McKenzie and Robert Edgar Hammond of Bobcaygeon are celebrating after winning a $100,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD TRIPLER.

Kathleen and Robert, a married couple, said they are regular lottery players, and this is their first big win. Robert says he was out running errands when he picked up a couple of CROSSWORD tickets.

“I was playing the tickets in my usual spot and checked them on the OLG app,” shared Kathleen, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their windfall. “I heard the winning jingle and did a double take, then scanned it again and yelled for Robert.”

“I ran down thinking Kathleen had hurt herself. When she told me about the win, I went right to the store to verify the ticket,” said Robert. “I felt like Robert was at the store forever,” laughed Katheen. “I was buzzing with excitement. I am thrilled – it feels wonderful.”

Kathleen plans to purchase a new vehicle with their winnings. “Our family will have a very nice Christmas this year,” she concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lakeside Jug City on King Street in Bobcaygeon.
