Kawartha Lakes Police Looking For Suspects After Two Separate Assaults In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police are looking for suspects after two separate assaults in Lindsay.

Officers were called to an assault on York Street on Sunday, October 15 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Police say a verbal confrontation between two males inside a business had become physical resulting in one male suffering injuries. When confronted outside the business, the suspect brandished a knife before fleeing the area according to police. The victim was transported to the Ross Memorial Hospital for his injuries.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Monday, October 16th police were called to a William Street North residence for an assault. Officers learned that a verbal confrontation occurred between multiple parties and one brandished a machete, striking the victim. The victim was transported to the Ross Memorial Hospital for his injuries, where he was treated and later released. 

This incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Branch of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service.
