Charges Laid Following Head-On Collision Near Fenelon Falls

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 59-year-old man faces charges after a head-on collision on Thursday morning.

Police say the collision occurred just before 8 am on County Road 30, just off of County Road 8 in Verulam Township.

According to the OPP, the red convertible crossed the centre line causing a head-on collision.

There were no passengers in either vehicle and no one was injured.

The driver of the red convertible from Fenelon Falls was charged with HTA 154(1)(a) UNSAFE MOVE – LANE OR SHOULDER.

“This is a good reminder to drivers to pay attention to the road and be safe this long weekend” said Laura Newberry, OPP.
