Cobourg Man Charged After Incident In Port Hope That Left An Officer injured

KAWARTHA LAKES-On July 31, 2023, shortly after 5:30 a.m., members of the Northumberland OPP arrested 30-year-old Jordan Denny of Cobourg in connection with an incident that injured a Port Hope Police (PHPS) officer.

On July 30, 2023, OPP members were called to assist with an investigation in the Town of Port Hope that left a PHPS member injured.

Denny has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a vehicle – two counts, Flight From Police and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing.

The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate.
