Kids And Families Invited To Explore A Snow Plow And Garbage Truck At The Library This Summer

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Public Library is inviting the community to come out to the library to explore a snow plow and/or a garbage truck with some of our Public Works and Waste Management staff this summer.

While the events will be geared towards children and families, all community members are welcome to come out to our Explore a Garbage Truck and/or Explore a Snow Plow events this summer.

Explore a Garbage Truck

Ever wondered what it’s like inside of a garbage truck? You can find out at the library this summer! Meet local Waste Management staff and learn all about the lifecycle of garbage and recycling with fun activities.

  • Coboconk branch: Friday July 7 at 11am
  • Omemee branch: Friday August 11 at 11am

Explore a Snow Plow

View a Kawartha Lakes snow plow up close and personal this summer at the library! Attend one of our Explore a Snow Plow events to learn how snow plows work, hear a snow plow driver tell stories and take part in other fun activities!

  • Fenelon Falls branch: Thursday July 13 from 11am to 12:30pm
  • Oakwood branch: Tuesday July 25 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm
  • Kinmount branch: Thursday August 3 from 11am to 12:30pm
  • Dunsford branch: Tuesday August 15 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm
