Buckhorn Man Charged After Short Police Pursuit And Crash On Lindsay Street

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough County OPP investigated a single-vehicle collision on June 27, 2023 at approximately 3:15 pm.  Officers responded, alongside with Fire and EMS, to a motor vehicle collision involving a sedan.

Police say previous to the collision an officer on patrol in the area of Fowlers Corners attempted to stop the vehicle for a driving infraction but the vehicle allegedly failed to stop and the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns.

The single-vehicle collision occurred on Lindsay Street a short time later. One driver was transported to local hospitals for treatment of injuries.

21-year-old Owen Sisel 21 years of age of Buckhorn has been charged with Flight from Peace Officer and Dangerous Operation.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.
