Peterborough Man Charged With Exposing Himself To Young Girls At The Mall

PETERBOROUGH-A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 1:15pm on June 24, 2023, officers were called to a grocery store in the Lansdowne Place Mall after three girls ages 11 and 12-years-old reported a man exposing himself and then following them.  Upon arrival, officers learned the girls went to store management.  Security and officers searched the area but did not locate anyone.

A short time later an officer on patrol noticed a man matching the description given to police in the Stewart Street and Sherbrooke Street area and took him into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 Yrs of Age

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court July 10, 2023.

Peterborough Police no longer release the names of most people charged with crimes.
