Guelph Man Facing Charges After Crash On Buckhorn Road

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Buckhorn Road in Selwyn Township shortly after 12:15 a.m. on June 23, 2023. The complainant reported that a vehicle left the roadway and had struck a tree. Upon arrival, police located the uninjured driver who is now facing charges.

33-year-old David Rzeznik of Guelph ON, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired-alcohol and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 1, 2023.

“The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements.” said the OPP.
