Video Surveillance Helps Police Identify Suspect In Dirtbike Theft In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 27-year-old man is facing charges after a dirtbike was stolen from a garage in Lindsay.

The dirt bike was reported stolen from a garage on St David Street in Lindsay on Thursday June 8, 2023. Officers recovered the bike the same day and it was returned to the owner. With the assistance of video surveillance, the suspect was identified and was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 on Sunday.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 27, 2023. 

Kawartha Lakes Police do not release the names of people charged in most cases.
