KAWARTHA LAKES-A 45-year-old Woodville man is facing charges after police say he blew almost three times the legal limit.
Kawartha Lakes Police received a report about a vehicle being operated by a possible impaired driver On Monday, June 12 at approximately 2:30 pm.
Officers located the vehicle in the area of Kent Street West and Highway 35 North in Lindsay. While speaking with the driver, police say the officer determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed him under arrest. T
he driver was transported to the police station for breath tests which revealed he had almost three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system according to police. A 45-year-old Woodville male is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). No name was released.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 20, 2023.Â
