Police Say Officers Arrested An Intoxicated Man In Possession Of A Taser In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police Service says officers arrested a man who was found to be in possession of a taser stun gun.

On Saturday, June 10 at approximately 7:15pm, Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a report of a suspicious male on the trail located in the area of Lindsay Street North and Eglinton Street North in Lindsay. Officers report locating the male laying alongside the trail in a highly intoxicated state. The male was arrested and searched. Upon searching the male, he was found to be in possession of a taser stun device according to police.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with possession of a prohibited device and one infraction in contravention of the Liquor Licence and Control Act.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on July 20, 2023.
