Voyeurism Charges Laid In Connection With Incidents At The North End Walmart In Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH-A 34-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges in connection with several incidents at area businesses.

On June 2, 2023, officers were made aware of an incident at a local business where a client was deliberately asked to stand in a certain spot to make it easy for the suspect for look up their dress.

Through investigation, officers say it was determined the suspect was connected to incidents at other businesses in the area on April 14, 2023 and May 31 when a female had reported that she had been in the Walmart on Chemong Road around 6:45pm and noticed a male following her, then standing extremely close and allegedly trying to take inappropriate pictures from below her dress.

As a result, a 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with three counts of voyeurism.

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, June 8, 2023. No name was released.
