Three People Injured, One Seriously In Multi Vehicle Crash On Highway 118

KAWARTHA LAKES-Haliburton Highlands OPP officers are investigating a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 118 near Carnarvon in Haliburton County.

On June 5, 2023, at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers and emergency services responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 118 at Kushog Lake Road, involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV), pickup truck and coach bus with passengers on board.

According to police, all three drivers were transported to hospital – two to local hospital with minor injuries and a third was airlifted by Ornge to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.

Highway 118 was closed between Queens Line Road and Highway 35 and has since reopened. There’s no word on charges.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage and has not yet spoken with police is asked to call the Haliburton Highlands OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
