Crews Battled Stubborn Pole Barn Fire Near Woodville On Monday

KAWARTHA LAKES-A stubborn pole barn fire on Linden Valley Road south of Woodville kept crews busy on Monday.

The call came in shortly after 5pm. Fire Chief Terry Jones told Kawartha 411 News that there were no animals in the pole barn however 250 round bales of hay burned. Crews from Woodville, Cameron and Mariposa fire halls were all on scene for approximately 6 hours. It’s believed an issue with a hydro pole could have caused the blaze.

Damage is pegged at around $25,000. No one was injured.
