School Board Reviewing Boundary For Parkview Public School In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha 411 News has learned that there is a boundary review currently taking place for Parkview Public School on Adelaide Street North in Lindsay.

Officials say a boundary review is conducted by the Board to analyze the attendance area for a school or group of schools due to changes in student enrolment, program demands, school capacity, new construction, or other factors.

“These reviews are needed to help balance school enrolment and capacity, minimize transportation, and maximize walk zones.” said Sinead Fegan, Communications, Trillium Lakelands District School Board. “With an increase in housing developments in Lindsay, particularly in the Parkview Public School catchment area, TLDSB is preparing for a significant increase in the student population over the coming decade.”

Fegan says the board will be holding community consultations in the future.

“Once the Board has more information to share, including community consultation dates, we will reach out to school families directly. We will also be posting information to our Boundary Reviews page on the Board’s website.”
The only boundary reviews currently on the website are for Huntsville Public School and Riverside Public School.
