BANCROFT-Three people are facing charges after police say they seizedĀ a total of 10 firearms, a crossbow, and a large quantity of ammunition.
During the morning of April 20, 2023, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Bancroft Crime Unit and the members of the Bancroft OPP Detachment executed two search warrants at two residences in the Town of Bancroft.
As a result of this investigation, 63-year-old Donald Vautour has been charged with 8 counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Lisa Duynsveldm 40 years of age and Irvin Whyte 46 years of age have also been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.
All three are from Bancroft.
All of the individuals were released on an undertaking to attend court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 9th, 2023.
