Lindsay Resident Charged With Refusal To Provide Breath Sample

KAWARTHA LAKES-Police say a 44-year-old woman has been charged with refusal to provide a breath sample.

On Monday April 17 at approximately 8:30pm the Kawartha Lakes Police (KLPS)received a call from a concerned citizen about a driver parked on Settlers Road for over two hours.

An officer located the vehicle, while speaking with the driver allegedly observed signs of impairment and located alcohol in the vehicle that was readily available to the driver according to police. The officer determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed her under arrest. 

As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Lindsay woman has been charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 25, 2023. 

KLPS no longer release the names of people charged with most crimes.
