Burn Ban Comes Into Effect On April 1

KAWARTHA LAKES-A City-wide burn ban comes into effect on April1.

To help reduce grass fires the City of Kawartha Lakes by-law 2016-110 bans open air burning for the month of April. Although some areas may have snow coverage or localized flooding fire can easily spread along dry grass according to officials.
If conditions allow the ban ends et the end of April.
