Toronto Teen Charged With Impaired Driving In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Toronto teen is facing charges after being stopped by police in Lindsay.

On Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:45am while on patrol a Kawartha Lakes Police officer stopped a vehicle on Kent Street West in Lindsay, to investigate a traffic infraction.

Police say while speaking to the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment. The driver provided a breath sample into an approved screening device and failed according to police.  The 18-year-old was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on May 4, 2023.
