PETERBOROUGH-An SUV stolen from the City of Kawartha Lakes has been recovered after a crash on Highway 115.
On March 14 at approximately 11:00pm, members of the Peterborough County OPP responded to a call reporting a sport utility vehicle (SUV) had entered the centre median on Highway 115 just south of County Road 10. Upon arrival, officers found the SUV with two occupants unable to fully explain how they arrived at that location according to police.
Through investigation, it was determined that the SUV had been stolen earlier that day from the City of Kawartha Lakes.
50-year-old Shawn Dupuis of Oshawa, was charged with:
• Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 3, 2023.
31-year0old Tabatha O’Neill of no fixed address, was charged with:
• Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000
